Sound Principles and Revelation Knowledge

“From the fruit of his lips a man is filled with good things as surely as the work of his hands rewards him.” (Proverbs 12:14)

  1. Praise – Praise is so powerful because we forget about ourselves and focus on the one who can do something about the situation. “He is your praise; he is your God, who performed for you those great and awesome wonders you saw with your own eyes.” (Deuteronomy 10:21)
  2. Renew – We can change what’s on the inside of us by renewing our minds. “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is – his good, pleasing and perfect will.” (Romans 12:2)
  3. Adjust – Before we can have it, we must be it. “The good man brings good things out of the good stored up in him, and the evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in him.” (Matthew 12:35)
  4. Implement – We are what we do. So, if we want to change who we are, we must change what we do. “If you were Abraham’s children,” said Jesus, “then you would do the things Abraham did.” (John 8:39)
  5. Submit – The difference between believers and disciples is whether or not they submit to the Word of God. “Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves. Do what it says.” (James 1:22) “To the Jews who had believed him, Jesus said, ‘If you hold to my teaching, you are really my disciples. Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.’” (John 8:31,32)
  6. Expect – We will get out of life what we expect out of life. “And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.” (Hebrews 11:6)
