Do You React or Respond?

A+ A-

I've been listening to Zig Ziglar, and, as usual, he gives some great advice.

When life happens, do you react to it or respond to it. To set the story straight, reaction is bad and responding is good. Think about it this way - if a doctor prescribes some medication for you and you react to it, that's a negative situation that could even kill you. Think allergic reaction to penicillin.

If you respond to the medication, then you are on the path to recovery. Think about the last stressful event that occurred in your life, did you react or respond?

For me, I like control. Reacting gives control to someone or something else. Responding allows you to take back control. Whether you realize it or not, there is a moment in every decision that we make that we choose.

Choose a better way!
