Personal Booster Week PDF E-mail

I was first introduced to the Personal Booster Week by Zig Ziglar and have found it to be one of the greatest secrets to improving personal productivity that I've ever found.

A Personal Booster Week is a week of all-out effort focusing only on activities that contribute to reaching your goals. You must plan for a personal booster week in advance to achieve this total focus on highly leveraged activities. Make sure that nothing will distract you during this time. Get your co-workers and family involved to help remove distractions. One effective way to remove distractions is to prepare for it as you would prepare to take vacation. Make all the necessary arrangements to have someone else field any calls and correspondence that are not essential in reaching your goals.

As any example, if you are a sales person, schedule only activities that generate sales during this week. In addition to removing distractions, you will also need to expand your work hours during this week. Come early, stay late, and keep focused. A personal booster week will generate results that you could only imagine before. Once you have completed your first Personal Booster Week, you will want to schedule them quarterly, semiannually, or annually going forward.

Remember, the difference between water that is very hot and boiling is only 1 degree. A Personal Booster Week could be the degree of difference that separates you from your competition.

The Bill Planner v1.0

As a CPA, I guess it was only a matter of time before introducing a product to help people manage their finances more effectively. In our usual fashion, we have taken a complex system, injected intelligent design, and created a simple, user-friendly tool. We want to give a special thanks to Productivity In Context Guru Stephen Smith for partnering with us on the design and development of this tool. For a limited time, we are offering The Bill Planner at a discount.

Do You Have Confidence?

I was reading a book by Norman Vincent Peale this week called Positive Imaging. It has become one of my favorite books in a short period of time. Having read The Power of Positive Thinking years ago, I was elated when I found out that he had other books as well. The great thing about his writing is that it brings both the practical and the supernatural together. He doesn't say that Positive Imaging all by itself will solve all of your problems, but he does say that it's a part of the solution.

Positive thinking, positive imaging, praying, meditation, and other spiritual activities all work to accomplish two major goals - Clarity and Confidence (or Faith). When you focus inward and engage your thoughts (subconscious and conscious mind working together), you are bringing about an awareness of what you really want. If something comes to mind that you don't want, then you can remove it. What you take out is just as important than what you put in. When you remove thoughts that don't belong, the picture of what you do want becomes clearer.

Clarity of purpose is a generally precedes confidence. Once you have clearly focused the picture of what you want, you will be amazed at how the resources start appearing to help you paint the picture in your life. This process begins to build a desire, then, a belief that you can achieve it.

Peale shares a story about a Chinese refugee who had committed to memory Philippians 4:13, "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me". By internalizing this belief and genuinely believing these words, this refugee, who had arrived in Hong Kong with nothing except his wife and eight children, was able to rise to a life of wealth.

This refugee's formula for success is the following:

I Believe + I Can + I Will = I DID

Through Positive Imaging, he was able to rise through the economic levels and build a better life for his family. Imaging is critical to clarify for your believer (your heart or subconscious mind) what it is you want. Then, it goes to work to line up the resources. This may through your own actions, such as noticing something you hadn't noticed before, taking a different route home one day and encountering a tool that will help you paint your picture, or taking action on goals that will ultimately bring your picture into physical reality.

The fulfillment of the image may also come from the actions of others. There have been numerous times where I've visualized the Bubbles on my Today page completely accomplished in a given day even though it would have been physically impossible for me to do it all. It is simply amazing how the task will either be finished by someone else or become unnecessary altogether. Sometimes, the tasks are completed with no action on my part. Even though I can't fully explain it, there are invisible forces that work on our behalf. Personally, I believe it is Jesus.

So, whether you use Positive Imaging, Bubble Maps, or Prayer; start clarifying your future and watch your confidence grow to such a level that not completing your goals is a surprise.

Where We're Going Next

You'll notice that this newsletter is a Life Management Newsletter even though we've been primarily a Time Management company. Well, here's the skinny. We started with Time because we saw this as the greatest need as well as the foundation for all of the other Life Management areas: Health, Finance, and Relationships.

Once you have a grasp of critical time management skills, then, you will be available mentally to start improving other areas of your life. So, in the coming weeks and months, you'll begin to see Bubble Up expand it's vision to providing tools and information to maximize your health, to become wealthy or wealthier, and to develop many close, beneficial relationships with friends and family.

So, we thank you for joining us on this mission and we look forward to providing tools and knowledge to help you create and achieve the life you've always imagined.

Be Blessed,

Bill Tyler - Your Success is Our Highest Priority!

The Law of the Thermostat PDF E-mail

If you spend most of your time thinking about your problems, then, you are setting yourself up to continue in them. There is a better way to live than your current way of living (no matter how good your current state may be).

There is always something better; however, if you can only see and envision that which is already in your life, you will never experience the better that is available to you. This is where the Law of the Thermostat comes into play.

APRIL SHOWERS PROMOTION!

For the month of April, All Bubble Planner products will be 20% OFF. Simply enter the discount code AprilShowers (one word) during checkout.

As an exclusive for our Newsletter subscribers, we are offering the Project Tracker v1.0 for $19.99 - just enter AprilShowers as the item discount code.

Thinking about what already exists in your life is similar to what a thermometer does. It can tell you precisely what the temperature is at any given time. However, it can't tell you what the temperature will be in an hour, much less tomorrow.

To predict, or determine, the temperature, you need a thermostat. A thermostat tells the environment how it's going to be. To be sure, the thermometer inside the thermostat is invaluable in relaying important information about the current temperature. But the current temperature only tells the thermostat which way it needs to go and by how much.

Start thinking about what you want and not what you have and make the Law of the Thermostat work for you.

Planner for Adults with ADD PDF E-mail

Our planners are designed for people who see the big picture, yet, need some help in prioritizing and following through on the details. Read a great article below about how to use our products to manage your time more effectively:

How Adults with ADD Can Use the Bubble Planner for Effective Time Management

By Jennifer Koretsky, author of Odd One Out: The Maverick’s Guide to Adult ADD

For adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD), details are a drag. We tend to see the big picture and want to jump straight to the finish line, wishing we could skip all the steps in between. Unfortunately, this perspective often causes us to become overwhelmed when it's time to start a project. We know where we want to end up, but we don't know where to start.

The same is true for day-to-day life. Adults with ADD start the day knowing what should ideally get accomplished, but not sure where to begin or how to prioritize. Boredom and frustration set in, making it difficult to finish what we set out to do. This leads to stress and guilt, which can spiral into more bad feelings, and less action.

In order to avoid this scenario, adults with ADD can learn to make daily planning a routine. The Bubble Planner is a great tool for keeping track of your daily goals and tasks.

Here is a simple, 3-step process you can employ in order to use the Bubble Planner for Effective Time Management:

  • Plan the Time to Plan.
Decide on a time of day when you can consistently take 15 minutes to plan. It can be a set time (8:00 PM) or simply "right before bed." Many adults with ADD find that the best time to plan is late in the day, when they are more alert. This works easily, as you can plan for the following day rather than stressing about it before you go to sleep!

  • Review Your Calendar.
Flip to the “Roadmap” and “Radar” sections of your Bubble Planner to record any new projects and appointments. See what appointments you have scheduled the next day. Use this information to judge how much time you’ll have available during your day to complete tasks.

  • Review Your Daily Goals and Projects.
Review your Bubble Planner to see which tasks and goals you accomplished since your last planning session. Take the time to acknowledge the goals and tasks you completed by crossing them out or highlighting them. This way, you focus on not just what you have to do, but what you did do.
Next, flip to a new day in your Bubble Planner and begin recording everything you want to accomplish the next day, starting with any tasks left over from the previous day.

Making a commitment to daily planning will allow you to take advantage of your Bubble Planner for effective time management, reduce stress, and better manage your ADD!
